Thoughts & Inspiration

Hello! If you aren’t familiar with me already, my name is Reid Johnson. I am a Senior at Sauk Rapids-Rice High School. I live in Rice, Minnesota with my beautiful family. I am truly thrilled and honored with the opportunity to partner alongside World Race and my Squad. I will be traveling on the Activation Route. As of right now, with potential subject to change, we will be serving in Guatemala, South Africa, Cambodia, and Thailand. There is a variety of different Ministries happening on this trip including Children’s ministry, Community development, Community Outreach, Evangelism, Sports ministry, Leadership, Teaching English, and much more. My original after High School plan was to attend college for a BA in Christian studies, but the Lord has called me to something much more radical!

I am distinctively excited for the chance to deplete myself of all the stresses and distractions of my life here and focus on furthering the kingdom of the Lord. My Christ-loving family and I have been attending Westwood Community Church for 15+ years. I was/am involved in a variety of extra-curricular activities such as Soccer, Diving, and Pole Vaulting. I have a love for doing flips of any kind from cliffs to ground. Outdoors is my jam. 78 degrees and sunny on the lake is the most Minnesotan, but the most Me kind of day there is. I can’t go without a Cherry Pepsi and some Chick-Fil-A! I drive an old and faithful Chevy Suburban(AKA Tow Mater) filled with memories. I have two brothers, three dogs, one cat, and over twenty SHEEP! I try to love God, be more like him, and spread his good news every day in everything I do (Mark 12:30). I pray you will have the opportunity to support me in my next step. I am excited for this chance to grow, learn, and love!
